  • My research is primarily focusing on sequence analysis and molecular evolution of both prokaryotic and eukaryotic genomes and proteomes. To accomplish this goal, I developed some bioinformatic programs for identification and extraction of some genomic features, such as insertion/deletion (so called indel), conserved blocks. I am investigating some evolutionarily informative markers and try to explain the evolution of those markers using Mycobacterium tuberculosisgenomes as the model of study.
  • Additionally, I am also interested in biodiversity and evolution of cellular slime mold, the Dictyostelids, in Thailand. My research team travels to several places in Thailand for collecting soil samples. In our lab, my research team tries to isolate and identify the dictyostelids from soil. On the other hand, the bioinformatics team is developing a big pipeline for searching some new diagnostic and evolution markers for dictyostelids.
