Emerging and re-emerging diseases.  Research description: 

Pathogenesis of swine viral and bacterial pneumonia.  Investigation of the role of pulmonary intravascular macrophages (PIMs) and pulmonary alveolar macrophages (PAMs) in porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) infection in swine.  Development of a co-infection model between PRRSV and Streptococcus suis serotype 2, between PRRSV and Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae and between PRRSV and classical swine fever virus.  Pathogenesis of PRRSV, PCV2, SIV and other swine respiratory viruses in Thailand.  Swine vaccine efficacy tests. Molecular epidemiology and pathogenesis of Avian influenza H5N1. Diagnostic development in animal diseases.
